The Satisfyer Double Joy is a U-shaped couples’ vibrator with two motors, one in each arm, designed to be worn during shared intimacy with one arm positioned internally and the other externally. It can be used with its buttons alone or connected to the Satisfyer Connect app, which adds editable programs and remote control by a partner over Bluetooth or the internet. This review is based on Satisfyer’s official product page and quick start guide; we have not run laboratory tests or acoustic measurements.

U-Shaped Design & Ergonomics

The Double Joy is a flexible U-shape: a wider external arm that carries the control buttons, joined by a curved bridge to a slimmer internal arm. According to Satisfyer, it measures about 91 × 42 × 57 mm and weighs around 78 g, which makes it compact and light enough to stay in place without being held. The silicone is soft and the U-shape can flex slightly, so it adapts to some extent to different bodies.

Unlike the We-Vibe Sync 2, which has an adjustable hinge, the Double Joy has no dedicated adjustment mechanism: its fit depends on the natural flexibility of the silicone. Anatomy varies, so the fit and stability during shared use differ from one couple to another. If the first position does not feel right, adjust it before increasing intensity.

The outer surfaces are made of body-safe silicone over an ABS core. Learn what to look for in manufacturer documentation in our guide to body-safe silicone and materials.

Dual Motors & Vibration Programs

Satisfyer describes the Double Joy as having two motors, one in each arm, so both the internal and external points of contact receive vibration rather than relying on a single motor and transmission through the body. The manufacturer lists ten vibration programs, which can be edited in the app.

On the device itself, the buttons on the external arm switch it on and change programs and intensity, so the Double Joy can be used fully without a smartphone. The app is optional and extends what the buttons offer.

Satisfyer Connect App & Connectivity

The Double Joy pairs over Bluetooth with the free Satisfyer Connect app. According to Satisfyer, the app offers:

  • Editable programs: the preset programs can be adjusted and new ones created.
  • Partner control: a partner can control the device from the app, either nearby over Bluetooth or remotely over the internet.
  • Music and sound: the app can turn a music playlist or ambient sound into vibration patterns.

Connected devices rely on the manufacturer’s app and, for remote use, on an internet connection. Review the app’s privacy settings and permissions, and keep it updated. For a comparison with other connected devices, see our app-controlled ranking.

Noise Level (dB) & Battery Life

Satisfyer does not publish a noise level for the Double Joy, either on its product page or in its quick start guide, and we do not turn product descriptions into a decibel value. Our specification panels therefore show “Not published”, and the Double Joy is not ranked in our guide to the quietest devices, which only includes devices with a stated noise level. Because it is worn between two bodies during use, soft tissue and bedding absorb part of the sound; on a hard surface it sounds louder. For the physics behind these figures, see our noise and decibel guide.

It runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (3.7 V, 220 mAh) and charges with the supplied magnetic USB cable, with no open port. According to Satisfyer’s quick start guide, it runs for about 60 minutes on a full charge, and a full charge takes about 4.5 hours. That run time is shorter than the We-Vibe Sync 2 (around 2 hours) and the We-Vibe Chorus (around 1.5 hours). Higher intensities shorten it further, so charge it fully before use. Satisfyer covers the Double Joy with a 15-year guarantee.

Hygiene, Care & IPX7 Waterproofing

The Double Joy has an IPX7 rating, which indicates protection against temporary immersion in water up to one metre for up to 30 minutes. It can be rinsed thoroughly and used in the shower, although it is not designed for prolonged use underwater, and the Bluetooth connection does not work through water.

  • After every use: wash both arms and the inner curve with warm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap or a dedicated toy cleaner, then rinse thoroughly.
  • Drying: pat dry with a lint-free cloth and let the device dry completely before storage or charging.
  • Charging: make sure the magnetic contacts are clean and dry before connecting the cable. Never charge a wet device.
  • Lubricant: use a water-based lubricant; silicone-based lubricants can degrade silicone surfaces over time. If you use condoms, choose a condom-compatible lubricant.
  • Storage: store it in a breathable pouch, away from direct sunlight and from devices made of porous materials such as jelly or TPE.

Who It’s For (and Who Should Skip It)

Who it’s for

The Double Joy suits couples who want a hands-free, connected device at a more accessible price than the We-Vibe models. Its two motors, ten programs and Satisfyer Connect app, including partner control over the internet, make it a flexible option for shared or long-distance use, and its buttons keep it usable without a smartphone.

Who should skip it

Those who want an adjustable fit should look at the We-Vibe Sync 2 and its hinge; those who want a dedicated physical remote or pressure-responsive controls should consider the We-Vibe Chorus. With a run time of around one hour, it is also less suited to long sessions without recharging.

Verdict

The Satisfyer Double Joy earns a 4.2 rating as the value option with app control in our couples’ ranking. It combines two motors, ten editable programs, Satisfyer Connect app control (including partner control over the internet), an IPX7 rating, body-safe silicone and a light, 78 g U-shaped design.

The trade-offs are a shorter run time of around one hour, a fit that depends on the flexibility of the silicone rather than an adjustment mechanism, and remote features that require a smartphone. If you want a connected couples’ device without a premium budget, it is a sensible choice; if fit adjustment and battery life matter most, the We-Vibe Sync 2 remains our top pick. Compare all models in our couples’ vibrator ranking.
