The Womanizer Liberty 2 and the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 are both external air-pulse devices, and they answer two different needs. The Liberty 2 is designed around travel: a compact body, a cover case that closes magnetically over the device and a travel lock. The Pro 2 Generation 3 is an accessible device for use at home, with a wider range of programs, a Liquid Air cap and vibration. This comparison is based on manufacturer specifications, published product documentation, retailer listings and the mechanics of each design.

Quick verdict

Choose the Womanizer Liberty 2 if…

  • you travel with it: a 90 g body, a cover case with a magnetic closure that protects the head in a bag, and a travel lock that keeps it switched off;
  • you prefer simple two-button control with eight intensity levels;
  • you want the longer run time, up to 120 minutes according to Womanizer.

Choose the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 if…

  • it will mostly stay at home and you want the lower price: it is typically the most affordable air-pulse device in its class;
  • you want a wider range of settings: eleven pressure-wave levels, against eight;
  • you like to vary the sensation, with a Liquid Air cap and 12 vibration programs on top of air-pulse.

Both are IPX7 devices with body-safe silicone heads. In our air-pulse ranking, the Pro 2 Generation 3 is fourth (4.4/5) as the best value air-pulse device and the Liberty 2 fifth (4.3/5) as the best option for travel.

Specifications side by side

Values from manufacturer data, published product documentation and, where the manufacturer does not state a figure on a page we could access, retailer listings. Noise levels are approximate, not laboratory measurements. Run times are upper figures and vary with the intensity used. We do not list prices, which change often: the Pro 2 Generation 3 sits at the accessible end of the category, the Liberty 2 in the mid-range.

Design and travel ergonomics

The Liberty 2 is built for a bag. It measures about 105 × 50 × 40 mm and weighs around 90 g, according to Womanizer. Its cover case slides over the device and fastens with a magnetic closure, so the stimulation head stays protected from dust and from contact with other items in transit. The travel lock keeps it switched off, so it cannot start by pressure in a bag and drain its battery. Two buttons within reach of the thumb handle all the controls.

The Pro 2 Generation 3 keeps the classic Pro 2 format: a straight, upright body held like a small bottle, with the nozzle on an angled head at the top. That shape makes the nozzle easy to aim, but it is longer and has no protective cover or travel lock listed, so it is better suited to use and storage at home. If you take it on a trip, clean and dry it, keep it in a breathable pouch and store the Liquid Air cap separately.

Stimulation dynamics: Pleasure Air vs Satisfyer air-pulse

Both devices work on the same principle. A small chamber behind the nozzle changes volume rhythmically, so the air pocket enclosed between the nozzle and the skin alternates between gentle suction and pressure. Stimulation is transmitted through the air rather than by a vibrating surface pressed against the skin, which many people find gentler on sensitive tissue. Pleasure Air is Womanizer’s name for its implementation; Satisfyer calls its version air-pulse or pressure-wave technology.

The practical difference is the range of settings. The Liberty 2 offers eight intensity levels, which are easy to learn with two buttons. The Pro 2 Generation 3 offers eleven air-pulse programs according to Satisfyer, so it covers a wider range, and its two motors add 12 vibration programs. Neither manufacturer publishes a comparable measure of output strength, so we do not rank them on power: start at a low level on either device, keep the nozzle resting lightly on the skin, and increase gradually.

Nozzles: one standard head vs a Liquid Air option

The Liberty 2 has a single body-safe silicone nozzle, and Womanizer does not list spare or interchangeable heads in the box. It is a simple, single-sensation design, which suits a device meant to be packed quickly.

The Pro 2 Generation 3 comes with a Liquid Air cap, a thin silicone membrane that fits over the opening and is designed to mimic the surge of pulsing water. Fitting or removing the cap is one way to vary the sensation; its vibration programs are another. The cap can be removed and washed on its own. The trade-off is one more small part to keep track of, which matters more when travelling than at home.

Battery, IPX7 and silicone care

The Liberty 2 has the advantage on run time: Womanizer states up to 120 minutes, with a charging time of about 60 minutes. Satisfyer’s quick start guide gives about 60 minutes of use and about 3 hours of charging for the Pro 2 Generation 3. On both, higher intensities shorten the run time. The Liberty 2 charges magnetically, through pins on the body; the Pro 2 Generation 3 uses a standard USB-C cable, and Satisfyer covers it with a 15-year guarantee.

  • Waterproofing: both are rated IPX7, which allows temporary immersion up to one metre for up to 30 minutes and thorough rinsing. Neither is designed for prolonged use underwater.
  • Cleaning: after every use, rinse the nozzle under warm running water, wash with a mild, fragrance-free soap or a dedicated toy cleaner, then rinse inside the nozzle carefully. On the Pro 2 Generation 3, remove the Liquid Air cap to clean it and the opening beneath.
  • Drying and storage: let the device dry completely before storage or charging. The Liberty 2’s cover case keeps the head protected once dry, but it does not replace cleaning. Store both away from devices made of porous materials such as jelly or TPE.
  • Charging: make sure the magnetic contacts (Liberty 2) or the USB-C port (Pro 2 Generation 3) are clean and completely dry before connecting the cable. Never charge a wet device.
  • Lubricant: use a water-based lubricant; silicone-based lubricants can degrade silicone surfaces over time. Learn what to look for in materials in our guide to body-safe silicone and materials.

Neither Womanizer nor Satisfyer publishes a noise level for these two models, so we cannot compare them on a figure; the Liberty 2’s travel lock keeps it from switching on in a bag. The surface also matters: bedding absorbs part of the sound, while hard surfaces amplify it. For the physics behind these figures, see our noise and decibel guide.

Verdict by use case

  • Travel and discretion away from home: the Womanizer Liberty 2. The magnetic cover case, the travel lock and the 90 g body are designed for a bag.
  • Longer sessions between charges: the Womanizer Liberty 2, with a manufacturer-stated run time of up to 120 minutes.
  • Use at home on a limited budget: the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3, typically the most affordable air-pulse device in its class.
  • Range of settings and varied sensations: the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3, with eleven air-pulse programs, 12 vibration programs and its Liquid Air cap.
