The Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 and the Satisfyer Curvy 1+ are two accessible air-pulse devices from the same brand, and both add vibration to air-pulse stimulation. What separates them is the shape of the body and what each adds on top: the Pro 2 Generation 3 is a straight device with a Liquid Air cap, USB-C charging and button controls, the Curvy 1+ a curved device with optional app control. This comparison is based on Satisfyer’s product pages, its official quick start guides and the mechanics of each design.

Quick verdict
Choose the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 if…
- you want simple, direct control with the buttons on the device, with no smartphone involved;
- you want a Liquid Air cap for a softer, water-like pattern, on top of air-pulse and 12 vibration programs;
- you prefer the higher-rated of the two in our air-pulse ranking (4.4/5), with USB-C charging.
Choose the Satisfyer Curvy 1+ if…
- a curved body that rests in the palm suits your grip better than a straight one;
- you prefer a shorter, palm-sized body (134.1 mm and 143.8 g, against 164 mm and 203 g) with magnetic charging;
- you would like to customise programs, or let a partner control the device, with the optional Satisfyer Connect app.
Both combine air-pulse and vibration, use body-safe silicone on the contact surfaces and are rated IPX7. In our air-pulse ranking, the Pro 2 Generation 3 is fourth (4.4/5) as the best value air-pulse device and the Curvy 1+ seventh (4.1/5) as the best ergonomic grip on a budget.
Specifications side by side
Values from Satisfyer’s product pages and quick start guides for both devices. Satisfyer publishes no noise level for either model. Run times vary with the intensity used. We do not list prices, which change often: both are positioned at the accessible end of the category.
Ergonomics and grip: straight body vs curved body
The Pro 2 Generation 3 keeps the classic Pro 2 format: a straight body held upright, with the opening at the top and the buttons on the front. Satisfyer lists it at 164 × 65 × 46 mm and 203 g, with a seamless silicone shell. It is easy to aim, and the straight shape gives a clear sense of where the opening points, which helps when placing it for the first time.
The Curvy 1+ uses a curved body designed to rest in the palm, with the opening at one end of the curve. The hand wraps around the device rather than holding it upright, which many people find more comfortable over a longer session and easier to keep in position at an angle. Grip is personal: if you have reduced hand strength or prefer a relaxed hold, the curved shape is the more ergonomic option; if you prefer to see and aim the opening precisely, the straight body is more intuitive.
Stimulation: Liquid Air and vibration vs air-pulse and vibration
Both devices use Satisfyer’s air-pulse technology: a small chamber behind the soft silicone opening changes volume rhythmically, so the air pocket enclosed between the opening and the skin alternates between gentle suction and pressure. Stimulation is transmitted through the air rather than by a vibrating surface pressed against the skin, which many people find gentler on sensitive tissue. Both list eleven pressure-wave programs, and both add vibration.
- Pro 2 Generation 3: according to Satisfyer, its two motors add 12 vibration programs (5 speeds and 7 patterns), usable alone or combined with the pressure waves. It also comes with a Liquid Air cap, a thin silicone membrane that fits over the opening and is designed to mimic the surge of pulsing water.
- Curvy 1+: according to Satisfyer, its two motors provide 11 pressure-wave intensities and 11 vibration settings, usable together or separately. It has a single opening, with no Liquid Air cap.
In both cases, the opening should rest lightly on the skin: an air-pulse device works through the seal of the air pocket, not through pressure. Start at a low level and increase gradually.
Connectivity and control: buttons vs the Satisfyer Connect app
The Pro 2 Generation 3 we review is controlled with the buttons on the device. Nothing needs to be installed or paired, and no data leaves the device. Satisfyer also sells a separate app-connected edition of the Pro 2 Generation 3, so check the exact product name before buying if this matters to you.
The Curvy 1+ works with its buttons and preinstalled settings alone, but it can also be paired over Bluetooth with the free Satisfyer Connect app. According to Satisfyer, the app gives access to additional programs and can let a partner control the device, nearby or remotely. The app is optional: if you never install it, the Curvy 1+ behaves like a button-controlled device. With any connected device, review the app’s privacy settings and permissions, and keep it updated. For other connected devices, see our app-controlled ranking.
Battery, charging and IPX7 waterproofing
Satisfyer’s quick start guide gives the Pro 2 Generation 3 about 60 minutes of use and about 3 hours of charging, through a standard USB-C cable (500 mAh battery). Satisfyer gives the Curvy 1+ the same run time, about 60 minutes, with about 4 hours of charging through its magnetic USB cable (450 mAh battery). On both, higher intensities shorten the run time. Satisfyer covers both with a 15-year guarantee.
- Materials: both use body-safe, non-porous silicone on the surfaces that touch the skin and ABS plastic; the Pro 2 Generation 3 has a seamless silicone shell. Learn what to look for in our guide to body-safe silicone and materials.
- Waterproofing: both are rated IPX7, which allows temporary immersion up to one metre for up to 30 minutes and thorough rinsing. Neither is designed for prolonged use underwater, and Bluetooth does not work through water.
- Cleaning: after every use, wash the opening with warm water and a mild soap or a dedicated toy cleaner, then rinse it carefully. On the Pro 2 Generation 3, remove the Liquid Air cap to clean it and the opening beneath.
- Charging: make sure the USB-C port (Pro 2 Generation 3) or the magnetic contacts (Curvy 1+) are clean and completely dry before charging, and never charge a wet device.
- Lubricant: use a water-based lubricant; silicone-based lubricants can degrade silicone surfaces over time.
Satisfyer publishes no noise level for either model (both list a “whisper mode”, without a figure), so we cannot compare them on a figure. Bedding absorbs part of the sound, while hard surfaces amplify it. For the physics behind these figures, see our noise and decibel guide.
Verdict by use case
- Simplicity and no smartphone: the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3. Buttons only, nothing to pair, and three ways to vary the sensation (air-pulse, Liquid Air and vibration).
- First air-pulse device: the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3. Its straight body makes the opening easy to aim, and it is the higher-rated of the two in our ranking.
- Comfortable grip: the Satisfyer Curvy 1+. Its curved body rests in the palm and is easier to hold at an angle.
- Faster charging: the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3, at about 3 hours against about 4 hours for the Curvy 1+, for the same run time of about 60 minutes.
- Customisation or partner control: the Satisfyer Curvy 1+, with the optional Satisfyer Connect app.
Waterproofing, run time and guarantee do not separate them: both are rated IPX7, run for about 60 minutes and carry a 15-year guarantee. If longer run time matters most, look at the Satisfyer Pro 2 Gen 3 vs Womanizer Premium 2 comparison.
