The LELO SILA Cruise is a compact sonic-wave device for external stimulation. It uses the same principle as the LELO Sona 2 Cruise, gentle sonic waves delivered without direct contact, in a rounder, palm-sized body that LELO presents as the gentler option. This review is based on LELO’s official product page and specifications; we have not run laboratory or acoustic tests.
What we like

Design & Ergonomics
The SILA Cruise has a rounded body of 80 × 75 × 35 mm and weighs 105 g, according to LELO, so it rests easily in the palm. Its defining feature is a large, soft opening: LELO designs it to sit around the area rather than on a single point, so that the sonic waves are spread over a wider zone instead of being concentrated at the centre. LELO presents the SILA Cruise as a gentle option, suited to people discovering this type of device.
Two buttons on the body handle everything: the + button switches the device on and raises the intensity, and a second button cycles through the settings. There is no app and no Bluetooth connection.
Sonic Waves & Cruise Control
LELO describes its technology as sonic waves rather than suction: the opening transmits pulsations to the skin without the device pressing a vibrating surface against it. The SILA Cruise offers eight settings, and LELO lists a rotation frequency of 60 Hz.
Cruise Control, patented by LELO, keeps the pulsations constant during use: when the device is pressed more firmly against the body, it adds power instead of letting the intensity drop. LELO publishes no motor power figures, so we do not compare the SILA Cruise’s power with other devices.
Body-Safe Materials
LELO lists the materials as body-safe silicone and ABS plastic, with an extra-soft, smooth silicone finish on the outside. LELO states that its products meet the ISO 3533 international standard for the safety of these devices; to understand what material claims mean and what to look for, see our guide to body-safe silicone and materials.
Use a water-based lubricant: silicone-based lubricants can degrade silicone surfaces over time.
Noise Level & Discretion
LELO does not publish a noise level for the SILA Cruise, and we do not turn product descriptions into a decibel value. Our specification panels therefore show “Not published”, and the SILA Cruise is not ranked in our guide to the quietest devices, which only includes devices with a stated noise level. If a stated figure matters to you, choose a device from that guide.
The device switches off automatically after 20 minutes. To understand how the decibel figures of other devices compare, see our noise and decibel guide.
Battery Life & Waterproofing
LELO lists a Li-ion 520 mAh battery, up to 2 hours of use and a charging time of 2 hours (5.0 V, 500 mA) with the supplied USB charging cord. A satin storage pouch is included; LELO does not list a travel lock.
LELO describes the SILA Cruise as 100% waterproof and suitable for the bath and shower, but it does not give an IP rating. We therefore list it as “Waterproof” without a rating, unlike the IPX7 devices in our catalogue.
Hygiene & Care
- Before and after each use: wash the body and the opening with warm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap, then rinse thoroughly.
- Inside the opening: rinse until no soap remains, then let it dry completely.
- Charging: make sure the charging point is dry before connecting the USB cord.
- Storage: store it clean and dry in its satin pouch, away from direct sunlight and from products made of porous materials.

Who It’s For (and Who Should Skip It)
Who it’s for
The SILA Cruise suits people looking for gentle, broad external stimulation without direct contact: a wide opening, Cruise Control, eight settings, extra-soft silicone and a fully waterproof body in a compact 105 g shape, with no app or Bluetooth.
Who should skip it
If a stated noise level or an IP rating matters to you, choose a device from our quiet devices ranking or the IPX7 models of our air-pulse and sonic ranking. For a stronger sensation from the same brand, see the LELO Sona 2 Cruise; for a travel lock and a protective case, the Womanizer Liberty 2. You can also answer up to four questions in our Device Finder.
Verdict
The LELO SILA Cruise earns a 4.3 rating in our air-pulse and sonic category. Its strengths are documented by LELO: gentle sonic waves through a wide opening, Cruise Control to keep the intensity steady under pressure, eight settings, extra-soft body-safe silicone, a fully waterproof body and up to 2 hours of use in a compact 105 g shape.
The trade-offs are about transparency and travel: LELO publishes neither a noise level nor an IP rating, and it does not list a travel lock.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the LELO SILA Cruise and the Sona 2 Cruise?
Both use LELO’s sonic waves and Cruise Control. LELO presents the SILA Cruise, with its large, soft opening and rounder, palm-sized body, as the gentler option, suited to beginners, and the Sona 2 Cruise as the more intense one, with twelve settings instead of eight.
How loud is the LELO SILA Cruise?
LELO does not publish a noise level for the SILA Cruise, so we show “Not published” rather than a decibel value. Without a stated figure, we cannot compare it with devices such as the Sona 2 Cruise (~60 dB at its stated maximum).
Is the LELO SILA Cruise waterproof?
LELO describes it as 100% waterproof and suitable for the bath and shower, but does not state an IP rating. Rinse it after each use and let it dry completely before charging it with the supplied USB cord.
